Dementia-Friendly Signs, Displays and Environmental Solutions for Care Homes

Helping Care Homes Improve Wayfinding, Orientation and Resident Wellbeing
"Can you design signs for people with Dementia?" Yes! Yes we can, 20 years of working in the Dementia care home sector has made us instinctively averse to saying "No" to anything a customer might request, and in that time we have seen Dementia care become a hot potato in government and the media only to fade away from that prominence in more recent years, but the challenges of dementia care remain. There is no cure, and whilst we are undoubtedly better equipped today to make meaningful changes that really make a difference, the world of dementia care continues to experience new challenges. And for us here at the Care Home Designer, It’s about creating a family of products that are adaptable to individual homes, residential care communities, and their localities, observing reliable design principles and doing our very best to create designs which, whilst created from the dementia perspective, are appropriate for use in any residential care setting. Above all, our purpose is to create environments that support people to live with less stress, more dignity and keep in touch with the memories that make each individual who they are.
